We meet at Broxbourne (at the group leader's house) where we discuss a previously chosen book of the month, and topics that might arise from this. Books are chosen from nominations by individual group members, put anonymously in sealed envelopes and picked at random. In this way we read and enjoy books by authors we wouldn't necessarily have thought of choosing ourselves. We like to pick books at least three months ahead to enable members to acquire them in different ways such as libraries, and it goes without saying that paperbacks are very popular choices nowadays! Tea and biscuits are provided as an incentive to join!
