Our watercolour group has been running since the early days of the Broxbourne U3A. We all paint just for pleasure, and although a few members do sell some of their paintings, no one takes commissions!

Originally, our members only painted using watercolour, but over the last few years other mediums have been tried. So now, some members use acrylics, pen and ink, chalks and pencils both lead and watercolour, or any mixture, but none of us paint with oils.

Because of this we have changed our name simply to ART.

We are about eighteen members strong, but still have places for about ten more. We meet every Monday fortnightly in the morning from 10am until 1pm,. There are NO meetings in August due to various grandparent commitments. There is no formal teaching, members just help each other, with different subjects suggested for each session, but they are only suggestions, as anyone can paint what they like.
