Our group meets once a month at the Methodist Church, Hoddesdon, to critique and enjoy the writings of our members. We aim to improve our writing techniques but ultimately appreciate the wonderful variety of stories and poems that our members produce.
You can find some examples of our work - access them through the Links on this page. We would welcome other members who would like to join in and they can contact the Group Leader, Janet through the phone number in the Programme leaflet or by email via the contact method listd below
The group has been invited to take part in 'Their Finest Hour', a Heritage Lottery-funded nationwide campaign organised by the University of Oxford to collect and preserve the everyday stories and objects of the Second World War so any U3A member who would like to contribute please see link entitled "Their Finest Hour" on this page..

Throughout 2025 we embarked on a project to create a booklet containing some of our work which could be sold and raise money for charity. In our case we chose Cancer Research Uk. The paperback booklet "Curl up with a good book", consists of around 30 short stories and poems and is on sale for £5. Please contact the Group Leader to purchase a copy.
If you would like to be put in touch with the Leader of this Group, or want to find out more about what the Group does, please send us a message through the 'Link to "Group Leader Contact" at the top of this page and we will get back to you by email or phone, if you have included it in your note.
